How It Works

Every case is carefully verified.

Shomer Emunim does not distribute funds based only on an unverified request. Each situation is quietly researched and reviewed by trusted people who understand the family and the circumstances.

01

A Need Is Identified

A family may be referred by a Rav, a gabbai, a neighbor, or someone familiar with the situation. In some cases, the family approaches the Rav directly.

02

The Situation Is Reviewed

Trusted gabbaim quietly collect the necessary information and research the situation respectfully — without exposing the family.

03

Rabbinical Approval

The information is presented to the Rav of the kehillah, who reviews the case, approves the assistance, or requests further clarification.

04

Direct Assistance

The family receives the appropriate help privately — cash, vouchers, food, wedding assistance, clothing, furniture, or household necessities.

How Privacy Is Protected

Recipient identities are never shared publicly. Records are strictly limited to those responsible for approving and delivering assistance. When help is delivered, it is done without exposing the family in front of neighbors, children, or the community.

Why Some Families Do Not Ask

Some families are too embarrassed to come forward themselves. In those cases, trusted neighbors, rabbanim, and community members help ensure that their needs do not remain unseen. Kavod comes first — always.
